Danny Caldecott talks us through his second full week at the helm of Clitheroe Football Club and the challenge of Vauxhall Motors away on Saturday.
How are spirits in the camp following our 2-1 win against Newcastle Town last time out?
"The spirit in the camp is really good, obviously back to back wins against Witton Albion & Newcastle Town have been really good for their confidence. Not only that, they have shown as a group they can come from behind, twice, which is great."
Now that your are a couple of weeks into your new role, how are you personally settling into the club?
"Me personally & my staff are settling in really well, I can't speak highly of everyone who is at the club, who has welcomed me & supported me from day dot, which is really important. The players have been really welcoming & engaging as well, which is all you can ask for really, I'm really happy."
Are you starting to feel like tactics & expectations are starting to be imprinted on your squad following recent training session?
"We are working on it week by week, we genuinely feel that the squad has a lot of quality offensively & defensively, but we want to try and work on our shape out of possession, to make us more difficult to break down. I feel like once we get this right and the players understand that, we will be a real team to beat and that is something we are really concentrating on, but we also want to add to our offensive side of the game.
Obviously a chance to go top this weekend, but a team struggling for form stand in your way, what type of challenge do you face on Saturday?
"I'll be honest with you, we are not really looking at the league table, it is just one game at a time. If we win we can go top, brilliant, but that is not really a concern of ours. As a group, all we want to do is concentrate on winning the next game in front of us, if we can. I genuinely believe this is going to be the most difficult game out of the 3. Vauxhall have got a new manager, with that brings a bounce. The new manager will bring new ideas, more impetus, an extra boost out of the players."
"It will be a very difficult game, they are little bit like a wounded animal at the minute, they will be looking to bounce back straight away & what better motivation than playing a team near the top of the table. It's going to be a big game and one that is going to call on us to roll our sleeves up and work hard and make sure that we win the battle."
