It is with regret that on Tuesday morning, 10/12/2024, I decided to formally inform the board at CFC that I was to relinquish my position as manager.
My position had become untenable over the last few weeks, which has coincided with a poor run of results.
Certain factors have contributed to my decision; I have been 100% fully committed and have been frustrated by factors on and off the pitch.
It has been and will continue to be a transitional season as the club moves forward with a new breed of young, exciting players.
I know the club, with its wonderful support by the fans, will do well. You all have been magnificent, and I urge you to do everything you can to stay with this group.
The players have given me everything, and I can’t thank them enough.
My staff, Sean/Pete/Chappy, have been class.
I wish nothing but the best for the CFC board members, and I know how hard they all work. Hopefully, we can all learn from this experience.
Lastly, I’d like to thank a certain Mr Carl Garner, who has been
an absolute Godsend to me. I have enjoyed every battle with opposition managers and teams in this wonderful league.
I look forward to standing with barside boys and girls to cheer this team on.
Stay Strong.
