Simon Garner

Blues manager Simon Garner knows that Saturdays game against 3rd placed Salford City will be a tough game but has spoken to the website saying that if his players want to impress then impressing against the ‘Class of 92’ is the best way to start.
Going into the game in 11th position, Clitheroe are currently on a good run of form winning their last four out of five, however this weekend’s game against The Ammies will be a tough test.
The boss said; “Salford are a big team in this division with all the money they’ve spent and with the backing of the class of 92. Our lads should be up for every game regardless but if you want to impress and get anywhere in the game then you need to be showing what you can do in front of teams like this.”
Our manager has close connections with the backroom staff at the Manchester based club having played under him at FC United of Manchester when Phil Power was Assistant manager under Karl Margison.
He finished off by saying; ““Salford have done well this season. They started off on fire and they stayed unbeaten for a long period of time but they lost 6-0 last weekend and they aren’t used to that. They will come at us and we know it will be an extremely tough game.”
