Clitheroe 1 Nantwich Town 1
Attendance 1009
A pulsating game ending with honours even, but Clitheroe went close to nicking all three points against the form side from Cheshire. It was Nantwich who took the lead as Callum Sauders headed into the home box and shot under Hakan burton. It was not until Clitheroe freshened up the side in the second half that they began to find the cutting edge. Clitheroe’s Sefton Gonzales levelled as he thumped home a header from a hanging corner. The wind was in Clitheroe’s sails. Ross Dent Threaded Emerich Poilly through on goal only to be flattened as he shaped to shoot. AS the clock ticked down Poilly’s shot flashed across goal, but in the end a draw was probably a fair result.
